Their Wishlist

A shorter, deeply immersive journey through the heart of Moorish Spain.

This was never about seeing everything. It was about understanding something — the legacy of Al-Andalus, and how it still quietly shapes Andalucía today.

Three cities. Each layered, complex, and deeply atmospheric. The focus was on experiencing them properly — through private guides, slow wandering, food, architecture, and time to absorb what they were seeing.

Beautiful, character-filled accommodation was key. Places that felt connected to the history around them — former palaces, historic buildings, spaces where the past isn’t something you visit, but something you sit inside.

And most importantly, space. Space to pause, to linger, to let each place unfold rather than rushing to the next.

What We Created

They began in Sevilla, easing into Andalucía through its warmth, rhythm, and layered history.
Private guiding through the old Jewish quarter, the cathedral, and the Alcázar — followed by long, unstructured afternoons to wander, eat, and settle into the city’s pace.

Beyond the monuments, we opened doors into quieter, more unexpected spaces — including a private visit to an art restoration studio, where centuries-old works are brought slowly back to life.

From there, they travelled to Córdoba — softer, more introspective.
Time here was deliberately slower. The Mezquita experienced with a private guide, but just as much emphasis placed on wandering courtyards, lingering over long lunches, and letting the city reveal itself without an agenda.

Then on to Granada — where everything deepens.
Staying within the Alhambra itself, the experience became more immersive, more atmospheric. Private guiding through the palace, slow exploration of the Albaicín, and evenings shaped by tapas, conversation, and views that stay with you.

Throughout, the journey moved between structure and freedom — guided moments to understand what they were seeing, balanced with time to simply be there.

Their Favourite Experiences

Alhambra in Granada

Behind-The-Scenes in la Alhambra

Not just a visit, but an experience of it. Moving slowly through the Nasrid Palaces with a guide who brought meaning to every detail — the inscriptions, the geometry, the movement of water and light. One of those rare moments where history feels completely alive.

Staying in Authentic Hotels

Each of the hotels was deeply connected to Andalucía itself. Whitewashed walls, tiled courtyards, hidden gardens, arches and lanterns — the unmistakable influence of Moorish design woven into every detail. Beautifully appointed and perfectly located, they offered more than just somewhere to sleep. They became part of the experience.

A Private Art Restoration Studio

Hidden behind an unassuming door in the backstreets of Sevilla, this was something few travellers ever see. Watching centuries-old works being restored by hand — a quiet, intimate experience that revealed another side of the city entirely.

Evenings in the Albaicín, Granada

Winding through whitewashed lanes as the light softens, the Alhambra glowing across the valley. Ending in small, local bars — tapas, wine, and the feeling of being completely inside the rhythm of the place.

Relexing in the courtyards of Andalucia

Long, unstructured afternoons

Time to wander. To sit in courtyards, to follow a street without knowing where it leads, to stop for a drink simply because it feels right. Not a single “highlight”, but something that shaped the entire experience.

Stepping inside the Mezquita

La Mezquita, or The Grand Mosque of Córdoba, is a space that’s difficult to describe until you’re standing in it. Rows of red and white arches, silence, scale — and the unexpected presence of a cathedral within. A powerful expression of the layers that define this part of Spain.

What They Said

Hello Laura and Casey – I wanted to let you know that our trip was great. The hotels, guides and transfers were top notch. It is hard to say what was my favorite! No doubt others will supplement my note, but I wanted to say thanks! Best, Alice

“The hotels and guides were all superb. While I also cannot pick a favorite thing, I would just note that the visit to the art restoration workshop was both truly special and something we would never have found on our own.

Finally, I was particularly impressed that when our train from Cordoba to Granada was abruptly cancelled by the train company, Biznaga found alternative transport and did not charge us whatever extra it may have cost. They made the trip seamless for us.

Many thanks, it was all great  Anne”

“I completely agree with Alice and Anne.  It was a fantastic trip, and I thought the hotels, guides and transportation were all excellent. I would like to use your group again if I am traveling to a place that you organize the itinerary for. Many thanks, Linda”
