Their Wishlist

Surrender to Spain is our signature small group journey for women, fully hosted by Casey Merwood, founder of Biznaga. It is deeply immersive, completely rejuvenating and designed to bring you back to yourself.

Our inaugural Surrender to Spain was always intended as something more than a trip. A small group of women, coming together to step out of their everyday lives and into something slower, richer, and more connected.

The structure was intentional.
Begin with energy and culture in Barcelona.
Then soften into stillness and nature in Menorca.
Finish with creativity, beauty, and reflection in Mallorca.

The focus wasn’t on ticking off sights. It was on how it felt to be there: long lunches, time to rest, space to connect, and experiences that brought people closer not just to Spain, but to themselves.

And at the centre of it all, I was there to host it — to shape the rhythm, hold the space, and guide the experience as it unfolded.

What We Created

We began in Barcelona — easing in gently, but with intention.

Markets, tapas, cava, and long dinners that stretched into the evening. A mix of guided experiences and time to wander, allowing everyone to find their own rhythm in the city.

Then we shifted completely.

In Menorca, we settled into a private finca — and everything softened.
Days were shaped by how we felt. Morning yoga, long lunches, time by the pool, creative workshops, and slow, shared dinners under the stars. Experiences that connected us to the island – fire cooking, wild landscapes, artisan crafts – but just as importantly, to each other.

It was here that the group became something more than a group.

Finally, Mallorca — a gentle reawakening.
Art, design, and a deeper creative energy. Private studio visits, time with local artists, botanical walks, perfumery, and wandering Palma’s hidden corners. A beautiful balance of inspiration and reflection before returning home.

Throughout, the journey moved between structure and flow. Planned experiences, held lightly. Space to opt in, opt out, rest, connect — whatever was needed in the moment.

Their Favourite Experiences

Our Private Finca in Menorca

The moment everything shifted. Phones down, shoulders dropped, and a collective exhale as life slowed right down. Long tables, shared meals, and the kind of stillness that’s hard to find anywhere else.

A Traditional Llaut

Swimming in hidden coves, sun on skin, salt in the air. Simple, beautiful, and exactly what it needed to be.

Cooking with Fire

A hands-on, deeply sensory experience. Smoke, heat, local ingredients, and a long, abundant lunch shared together — one of those days that lingers.

Creative Workshops

From weaving wildflower crowns to basket-making and perfumery, these weren’t just activities, they were moments of creativity, connection, and slowing down.

An Exclusive Art Experience

Stepping inside the world of a local artist, exploring studios and sculpture gardens normally closed to the public — intimate, inspiring, and completely unexpected.

The Women Themselves

The friendships that formed. The conversations, the laughter, the support. What began as a group of individuals became something far more meaningful.

What They Said

“Our Surrender to Spain trip with Casey from Biznaga was nothing short of sensational. It turned out to be one of my BEST holidays ever. (And I have done a lot!)

The food, the wine, the interesting places we visited and excursions we went on and best of all the hilarious group made it memorable. Already put my hand up for her next trip in 2026. Can’t wait!”

“Casey’s planned activities and events were top shelf and reflected her research and amazing relationships with the locals. From rooftop concerts to designing our own handbags and perfumes.

Winery tours, shopping tours and so much more all journalled in our lovely gifted journals. A holiday of a lifetime.

The other ladies on the tour were so much fun and many laughs were had! The Finca in Menorca was incredible as was all the accommodation and the food was incredible. I could go on….. a perfect trip!

Just a huge thanks to Casey and Laura and the Biznaga team for putting together such a polished and enjoyable holiday. I will always remember the great time had! Thank you!”

“I was fortunate enough to experience Surrender to Spain 2025 with Casey, who showcased her expertise in all things Spanish, as our accompanying host.

She was amazing in every way, every day. Barcelona, Menorca, and Mallorca all involved the most wonderful and memorable experiences which I will never forget.

Thanks Casey, and like all of us on that trip I look forward to travelling with you again. Julia xx”

“I signed up for the Surrender to Spain 2025 trip for something different to try as a solo female wanting to try something new. This was the best decision I could have made! From the beginning Casey was open and approachable with all my worries including joining a group trip being in my mid 40’s and worrying about “everyone being older”. I need not have worried.

This isn’t your everyday tour, it’s an experience! Beautiful accommodation, amazing experiences off the tourist path, the highest quality yet comfortable and fun. Such a wonderful opportunity to enjoy parts of Spain with authentic experiences, learning new things and oh so many laughs along the way. Thank you!”
